Tri-State Member Exhibition in Hiddenite, NC

The 2016 Hiddenite Celebration of the Arts will center on an exhibit by the Tri-State Sculptors.  The date will be September 24, 2016. The theme will be “MONUMENTAL IMAGES: Celebrating 35 years of Monumental Events! ”.  2016 marks the 35th Anniversary of the Hiddenite Arts and Heritage Center and the festival.

Sculpture will be located on the lawn of the mansion and in the 2nd floor art gallery of the mansion.  The exhibit will run through August and September, culminating at the Hiddenite Celebration, which draws an average crowd of 15,000 to the small hamlet of Hiddenite.

Members of Tri-State Sculptors are asked to submit indoor or outdoor work for this exhibition.  This exhibition will be juried by the staff at the Hiddenite Arts and Heritage Center.  Approximately 12-20 pieces will be selected for the indoor exhibition, including  sculpture hung from the wall and ceiling (no more than 25 lbs.). Up to 6 outdoor pieces will be selected and awarded $100 to help with delivery costs.  Sculptors are invited to aid in hosting the exhibit on the exhibition day by their presence in a “meet and greet” scenario.

How to Apply:

Please submit a CD to including a maximum of 3 submissions (2 views of each sculpture if you would like).  Please make images a minimum of 150 dpi, no less than 1000 pixels in either direction and include an annotated image list.  Please include your name and all contact information along with the title, material, size, weight, and if the work is intended to be indoor or outdoor.
