Friday, Oct 2nd: Opening Night Gathering—Zoom 6:00-8:00pm—Members Only

It’s not as great as seeing each other in person but join us as we celebrate sculpture and each other. Come see your old friends and meet new ones! Share news of the past year. It’s been a crazy one! At the end of the night, we will raise a toast to friends and sculpture!

Saturday, Oct 3rd: Esperanza Cortes Artist Talk/Interview

The 2020 conference was originally planned to be at ASU. Due to Covid-19, we had to move online. Esperanza Cortes was slated to be the keynote speaker. While we will not be able to hear her speak in person, Travis Donovan has been talking with her and created a video interview. Wednesday, Oct 7th: Esperanza Cortes Exhibition Walk-through 

Beginning on Wednesday, you can view a walk-through of Esperanza Cortes’ work currently installed at the Turchin Center. The link will be on the Tri State Sculptors website. We want to hear your questions! Esperanza will answer them in a recorded Q&A. Send all questions to tssculptors@gmail.com with the subject heading, Cortes Question. We must receive your questions by Sunday, Oct 11th.

Sunday, Oct 11th: Tri State Sculptors Annual Business Meeting—Zoom 3:00-5:00pm—Members Only

All members in good standing are invited to attend the business meeting. The big topics will be approval of the updated bylaws and the election of new board members. We are seeking nominations for the following board positions: Vice President, Treasurer, SC Representative, and NC Representative.

Members will receive a link to the Zoom meeting on Sunday morning. A full agenda will be sent out with the meeting invitation.

Thursday, Oct 15th: Esperanza Cortes Q&A

Friday, Oct 16th: Panel Discussion—Sculpture in the Time of Covid-19—Zoom 6:00-8:00pm—Members Only

The closing night of the conference will feature a panel discussion about how Covid-19 has altered our work and our lives. Panel members to be announced. A short Q&A will follow the discussion. 

Members will receive a link to the Zoom meeting on Friday morning.
