This conference began with a reception and artist talk by Susan Lenz at the Upstate Gallery in the heart of Spartanburg.This was followed by an evening of exploring a handful of local area sculptor's studios.  The host artists shared light refreshments and drinks with their visitors, while discussing works on display and providing insight to their processes.

Friday and Saturday's schedule was chock full of presentations and demonstrations which included:                     -Ceramic pit firing and sagger firing demos

 -10 minute Pecha Kucha presentations by members

 -Video mapping on objects demo

 -Professional practices and marketing presentation

 -Rubber mold making and resin casting demos by Reynolds Advanced Materials

 -Saltwater etching on steel using electrolysis

 -Armatures and concrete skins

 -Women sculptor's panel discussion

 -Granite carving demonstration

 -Needle felting demo and interactive workshop 

Two keynote speakers were invited this year to present to us about their creative practice and share examples of their work.

Charles Richard Clary spoke on Friday evening about his exhibition which was open for a private viewing at the Spartanburg Art Museum.  On Saturday evening Leslie Dill gave a slideshow presentation of her figurative and text-based works and performances on the campus of Converse College.

In addition, Converse College hosted a student sculpture exhibition and a member's exhibition.
